Do you market packaging or packaged products? Get ready for the changes! The new EU Regulation 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste (PPWR) will come into force on August 12, 2026. That is why we invite you to our webinar on September 10, 2026 , where experts will provide you with a practical insight into the new legislative requirements of PPWR and valuable advice on how to prepare for the new obligations. We will help you manage the practical implementation of PPWR across your entire company.
New packaging rules are here
PPWR changes the approach of companies to packaging. It ceases to be just a packaging material and becomes a regulated product. In practice, PPWR means a fundamental shift for companies from a "records approach" to a "design and systems approach" to packaging - that is, the need to address packaging already during product design, not only when it becomes waste.
PPWR is not a reason to panic, but to set up processes in a timely and systematic manner - most obligations have a deferred effect and companies have enough time to prepare. Many requirements follow on from existing legislation, so PPWR does not come "out of nowhere". A large part of the obligations are already partially fulfilled or have processes set up.
